My Computer Room

, ,

This post is just for you Lynne! This is where we party when we have LAN fests at my house. =)

So what does a geeky girl like me do? I turn our dining room into a computer room. Pretty much it's our gaming room and where Mr. Man, the boys and I spend our nights and weekends at.

My boys playing some Steam games at 11:45PM, yes on the weekends they are night owls. Just like mommy and daddy when it comes to computer gaming.

So let me give you a tour of our computer room.

Here is Mr. Man's comp. Specs as follows:
Case: Cooler Master CM690 case
PSU: Enermax 535W
M/B: Asus P5K Premium
CPU: Intel Q6600 2.4GHz
RAM: 2GB Corsair XMS DDR2 800
Vid Card: EVGA 8800GTX 768MB
Hard Drive: 2 x Western Digital 250GB SATA, 1 x Western Digital 500GB SATA
Optical Drive: Lite-On 20x DVD-RW
O/S: Windows Vista Ultimate
Keyboard: Razer Tarantula keyboard with battlelight
Mouse: Razer Copperhead
Speakers: Logitech 5.1 speakers
Monitors: 2 x Samsung 22" 226BW LCD
Headset: Razer Barracuda headset

This is where all the rockin' out happens. Rockband & Guitar Hero III on the XBox 360 which is hooked up to our 19" LCD tv w/ built in DVD player. When the kids feel like watching movies they can pop in one of their favorite DVDs or they can play their favorite games on the XBox. I usually like to play GH3 on xbox live, my xbox username is 'missjaclynrose', I dare you to challenge me. I play on the expert level. I still have yet to figure out how to play "Through the fire and flame" That song is soooo hard.

Can you tell this is my computer? because of the pink case? I'm telling you I have to feel girly, so what better way than to build my computer in a pink case.

gamer kids, that is so awesome, and i love the setup. the bf said that we have to have an extra room in the house when we have kids... for exactly this purpose! ha. :D

christiana - even when we lived in an apartment, we turned one of the rooms into a computer room. so wherever my family goes, there has to be an extra room for the computers. if not, who cares about eating in a dining room right? turn that sucker into the game room, we eat in front of the tv anyways. LOL.

That is nice ma. In our townhouse, we have a computer room also but it's quite small. But a computer room nonetheless, hah. We hung our snowboards on the wall, bought a HUGE desk from Ikea, and Hubbo did his own setup. But since we're renting out the townhouse, we both just work off of laptops now.

I asked him what happens when the boys get older and need their own rooms; we have a 3 bedroom townhouse. He goes, "they'll have to share a room until we can get a bigger house with more rooms"! LOOLLOLOOL.

When I showed him the pix of the boys computers, he told me that is exactly what the boys are going to have also. I swear girl. You are like my SoCal twin :)

And I love how you did a panoramic! That definitely puts everything into perspective! I'm kind of dyslexic at gaming but my manager and I used to tease Hubbo before about having blisters on his fingers from too much mouse scrolling action, lol.

Thanks for sharing hun!

Lynne - girl, i feel ya on the boys having to share a room until we get a bigger house, Mr. Man and I are in the same situation.

My mom just called me the other day and asked when we were going to get a bigger house, she wants to live with us again. (she used to live with us to help me take care of the kids when I went to school and work). So we definitely are going to need at least a 4 bedroom house, one for Mr. Man and I, one for the boys to share and one for my mom. And of course, one room dedicated to our computers. We can't have it any other way. hehe..

and girl you must be my twin from Hawaii. Mr. Man has yet to take me to your side of the states, but for sure when we go, I'm stopping by your island and we are soooo hanging out.

I used to get carpal tunnel syndrome from playing too much CS back in my gamer days. I'm sooo over it now though.
