First off, this daylight savings time is kicking my butt. I usually wake up at around 6AM so that I have time to work out before I have to wake up my kids for school. And this morning I ended up waking up at 7AM. I so did not want to get out of bed, but I knew I had to otherwise my kids would be late for school. I even went to bed early last night. I guess my body is going to have to get used to it.
Then on top of that, I have a meeting at 9AM (web conference) so I guess I'll work out after the meeting and then get ready to head out to work even though it's my day off. The Microsoft rep is stopping by our store for an informal training on how to sell Windows Vista.
So last Saturday, I stopped by a salon in my area where I got my hair done last January to go look for the shampoo and conditioner that Jane mentioned on her blog and suggested that I use. As I was looking around, I noticed that they sell NYX products. They didn't have lipsticks though, which I kind of bummed me out. So I picked up some liners and a trio eyeshadow. I didn't see the shampoo and conditioner there. Maybe because I got sidetracked, but I'll check it out again when I go back.
I also stopped by the CVS in the same plaza and picked up some more products. I was there to get toothpaste, but ended up coming out with more than I went in for. LOL. L'Oreal products were buy 1 get one free so of course I jumped on that. I also checked out their Milani products to see if they had them on sale and to pick up those wet/dry eyeshadows that I've been seeing on everyone else's blogs, but they didn't have them there so I picked up a new Milani nail color in black as my Cover Girl black nail polish is running out.
Essence of Beauty products were also on sale, Buy 1 get one 50% off.

As you can see, I picked up a few green shadows to play around with since I don't have too many of them.

were your HIP shadow sticks sharpened when you opened the package? The packaging shows a point, but when I opened mine (I have exquisite) it was just like a little cylinder of shadow.
Can't see the pictures but nice haul twin. I know you got some fab looks up your sleeve with those new toys of yours.
I really like that NYX lipliner in "Plum", I actually want a fuschia-ish red lipstick but am too lazy to go look for one. LOL! :] nice haul.

mayaari - now that i think about it, it does show it sharpened on the box, but out of the box, you're right it is just a cylinder, like a tube of lipstick with a flat top.
lynne - twinnie, yes i am figuring out some looks. I've already come up with a look using the nyx trio. i'll be posting that up soon, too. hmmm.. and i wonder why you couldn't see the pics? i upload to my webhost most of the time, maybe it was down for a few minutes? who knows. let me know if it happens again.
christiana - yeah i'm looking for a fuschia looking lippie too. i saw some NYX swatches on lynne's page and i was bummed out on that salon not having lippies there. like you, i'm too lazy and don't have too much time to go looking around. if i so happen to come across it then YAY!
Christy - isn't that a lovely color, I can't wait to play around with it and come up with some looks.
