Shopping Adventure: MAC Haul

April 2, 2008 by Jaclyn Rose

, ,

Monday was such a busy busy day for me. It started at 6AM. I woke up the kids, got them ready for school and took them to school. After that, I got ready to go out shopping and then waited for my best friend to come to my house and then we headed out to pick up my buddy and then headed over to the Brea Mall.

After that, I had to drop off my best friend to my house so she can pick up her car, then dropped off my buddy and then went straight to work to conduct Inventory Night. I was at work until 11PM that night. Got home and went straight to bed.

So here is my MAC haul from this shopping adventure.

What I got:
(Pictured) Heatherette Eye trio 1, Pearl Cream Colour Base, Premeditated Cream Colour Base, Eversun Beauty Powder, Clarity e/s, Newly Minted e/s, High Tea lipstick, Bonus Beat lipgloss, Fuschia pigment, 242 brush, 208 brush, 217 brush

(Not Pictured) BlackTrack fluidline, Plushlash Mascara, 15 pan palette

I didn't get a chance to swatch these as I was at work when I took these pictures. If there is a particular item you want me swatch, let me know and I'll post it up.

I actually got Bonus Beat lipgloss and High Tea lipstick with the Back 2 MAC program. I had 18 empties to turn in and ended up letting my best friend pick out a lipstick for herself. I believe she got Amourous. Since our skintone is similar, I actually suggested to her to get Utter Pervette or Pervette as she wanted to get a lipstick to go with purple eye makeup, but unfortunately they were out of stock on both of those.

I also got Premeditated Cream Colour base. I thought to myself, woohoo another base I can use for red eyeshadows, but as I opened it, that little piece of paper fell out and I read it. Apparently Premeditated is on the list of items not safe for use on the eye. Can anyone tell me what else I can use it for? Otherwise, I'm just going to have to return or exchange it. *sigh*

The Brushes: 242, 208 & 217

Top L to R: Premeditated Cream Colour Base, Pearl Cream Colour Base, Eversun Beauty Powder
Bottom L to R: Newly Minted e/s and Clarity e/s

Heatherette Eye Trio 1 & Bonus Beat lipgloss

My very first MAC Pigment: Fuschia. Welcome to my makeup collection.

I may have found my HG of nude lipsticks with this one: High Tea lipstick (sorry for the blurry picture.

I finally found my perfect pair of red pumps at Charlotte Russe.

When I was looking through my Charlotte Russe bag the next morning, I noticed that the necklace I purchased for $6.99 was not in the bag. I called my friend to see if maybe it was in her bag. (Shoes at Charlotte Russe were buy one get the 2nd for $10 so I had my best friend take advantage of it and purchase that second pair for $10 and I asked the cashier lady to put it in 2 separate bags). She must've forgotten to put the necklace in my bag.

I took a look at the receipt and noticed that she didn't charge me for the vest that I got that should have been $18.99. I'm taking she didn't charge me for the vest because I had purchased two black tank tops and I wanted to see what one of the tank tops would look with the vest and put them together and I'm assuming she thought it was a 2 piece set and eventually scan the tag for the tank top instead of the vest.

I was disappointed that the necklace wasn't in the bag, but then I thought about it, I ended up getting a $18.99 vest for $6.99. So I'm not one to complain right now.

If I would have noticed it when I was in the parking lot, then I probably would have gone back, but since it was the next day I noticed it and I had to work and the Brea Mall is in the opposite direction of my work, I just thought to myself, just let it go.

Yay! You're welcoming pigments also - woohoo!! High five. Can we be anymore coincidental than we already are?!?!

Nice haul sis. Oh, and Flammable paint would be my suggestion for red base or Artifact p/p would substitute as a darkish maroon. You can use Premeditated as a cheek stain or like face paint. I remember that's what they used during Halloween on one of the face charts.

I hope the Cream Colour Bases work for you because they crease like no other on me :( With UDPP under not so much, but I know you'll love the vibrancy they produce. It's amazing!!

And congrats on the 208! I am nothing without that god-send of an angle brush :P

Look at all those goodies! I have been eyeing Clarity and Electric Eel for some time, but decided to get Electric Eel over Clarity. But I know I will go back to get Clarity one day :) I want a Trio from Heatherette but I was looking at my makeup and realized I haven't touched a lot of them so I'm gonna stop buying anymore makeup for now. Bonus Beat looks like something I would wear. Please show me how that looks on your lips :) I'm gonna go check out High Tea next time I visit MAC :)

I love red pumps, are the shoes at Charlotte Russe comfortable? I'm waiting for a mail order and there's pair of flats in it, so I'm crossing my fingers that their shoes won't beat up my feet :) You should go back for the necklace :)

Ooooh nice haul! Heatherette won't be available in Japan for a loooong time...sniffles. I have High Tea as well...it's so versatile, I love it! You can easily change the color depending on the lipliner or base you use, and it's a great nude color like you said. Plus it looks pretty on everyone! Can't wait to see the FOTD's you come up with :)

Lynne - I have used flammable for a red base, but it seems a little too burgundy/maroon-ish sometimes and I thought Premeditated would be a perfect bright red that is until I read the CAUTION paper. errr....

Jane - Of all the Charlotte Russe shoes I've gotten, they have been pretty comfortable. I have yet to wear these red ones. Haven't had a chance to go out yet.

But I have noticed that the higher the heel the more it kills my feet now. I think it's the extra weight I've gained. I used to be able to wear 4-5 inch heels with no problem. Actually in high school those were the only type of shoes I wore. I am so short, I don't like being short so that's why I always wore heels.
