I mentioned earlier that I needed to get a new foundation color as I think I tanned a little in the last week or so. I completely forgot that I had the MAC Mineralize Satinfinish foundation that I thought was too dark for me a month or so ago. I lost the receipt so I couldn't exchange it.
Well I tried it on and I'm thinking it's a good enough match for my skintone right now and I feel better that I won't let it go to waste now.
Here's today's FOTD:

Karen, MakeupandBeautyBlog.com, posted an entry asking how old were you when you first started makeup. I started wearing makeup when I was in jr. high, but didn't fully get into (as in wearing it everyday) until I was in high school. I remember in freshman year I would sport the Plum lips and today's FOTD totally reminded me of my high school days. What about you? At what age did you start wearing makeup and what looks did you sport? Share with me.
For throwback purposes, here's a picture of my good friend from high school, Rachel, and I. This picture was our junior year in high school so we were 16-17 years old. As you can see, I sported just eyeliner and the brown lips throughout most of high school. I didn't even really wear foundation and look at my brows, OMG so thin.... Oh and my skin looks so undamaged here... oh how I miss those days and how I wish I had protected my face when I was younger... The price we pay for neglect.

Do you remember the Brown lipliner period? I use to trace my lips with brown lipliner and fill in it with a light nude lipstick or lipliner.
KC - yes, I so remember those days. Where I grew up, there were a lot of hispanic people and all of my friends (the hispanic ones and even some of my filipino and white friends) all sported that look. It was more in my jr. high/beginning of high school days. I am going to have to go through some old pictures just for the fun of it and check out our looks of the past. LOL.
i started wearing make-up in junior high. mainly just lipliner, lipstick, and/or lipgloss. i was TOTALLY rockn' the brown lipliner look too! hahaha. then in high school i started playing with everything else foundation, blush, eyeshadow, mascara, etc. i still can't believe that i use to wear makeup everyday... i can't do that anymore. LOL. :P i rocked alot of brown/earth tone colors in high school because it was more practical to wear. i guess you could say i looked sorta chola-ish... which kinda makes sense since i grew up in duarte where majority of the ppl there are hispanic. LOL! anyway. cool breakdown! :) i like yours better than mine. it's more organized. LOL. :) i may have to copy your layout for my future breakdowns, hope you don't mind! :D and absolutely LOVE that lipstick on you. :D this look is hot too... i would SO wear this look on a night out! :D
the plum lipstick looks so pretty on you! sooo jealous, haha. I think I was allowed to wear some translucent powder in jr. high - that's all my mom would let me wear. When I got to hs she let me wear foundation and concealer, and a really neutral pair of shadows...all Clinique, b/c that's what my mom was using at the time. I never bothered to use mascara or lipstick/lipgloss unless it was for a special occasion. And believe it or not, the first time I actually shaped/plucked my eyebrows wasn't until senior year - just for prom!
Gorgeous bronze beauty! :D I think the new shade is a good match for you. I love the shimmery-ness of this look hehe <33
I was fishing through my old photos a few weeks ago and I found some high school pictures of myself. I didn't used to wear foundation and my skin was flawless. Now it's just oily :( Gross! Thank God for makeup!
