FOTD: Soft & Subtle Pink

May 24, 2008 by Jaclyn Rose

, , , , ,

I have my first Neo Sci-Fi FOTD I did the other day which I will still post up in a bit, but today I'll show you my soft & subtle pink look I did for my best friend's graduation.

Before I start, let me just Congratulate my best friend on graduating from SDSU!

And now for the FOTD for Saturday!

Since my best friend was graduating from SDSU, we had to wake up at 5AM to leave the house no later than 6AM to get there in time for the ceremony which started at 8AM.

I only had enough time to take a shower and get dressed so I packed up a makeup bag and did my makeup in the car. Thank goodness I wasn't driving right? LOL. Let me tell you it's a little difficult putting on makeup in a moving car especially one that bounces on every little bump in the road. The parts I had trouble with was eyeliner, so I skipped out on the fluidline and used an eyeliner pencil, and lipliner. I dared not put on mascara while the car was moving so I waited until we got to the parking lot of the school to put that on. So excuse the fact that I don't have mascara on in my pictures. Other than that, I think it came out ok. What do you think of my makeup skills while the car is moving?

I used Neo Sci-Fi Sci-Fi Delity lipstick in this one. Isn't it soooo pretty? I know a lot of you have been eye-ing it.

All pics taken with no flash.

Look at how the color is so bold and just pops!

And because it was an almost 2 hour drive to SD, here's a pic that Mr. Man and I took out of boredom. LOL.

Mr. Man: Hurry, take the picture, I need to concentrate on the road.
Me: You don't have to look at the camera, just don't make ugly faces.

After about 6 attempts, this is the best one that came out since he kept making ugly faces.

I know I didn't get to post anything yesterday so here it is. I'm going to try to post another entry after this. My older brother is coming over with my auntie and my cousin's kids in a little bit so let me try to get something posted before they come over.

Ah, I totally passed on the lipstick when I saw it in person. It's pretty, but I didn't know when I would wear it. It really looks gorgeous on you!

I saw a woman put on mascara and eyeliner while she was driving. That was kind of a scary sight.

Congrads to your friend who graduated!! I dunno how girls put makeup on in the car, especially liner and mascara! You did a good job with the shadows though. Did you use any wet wipes? Hehe. My fingers get so dirty when I apply makeup.

Christy - Isn't it so pretty? the lipstick that is.

Thx you!

Emilee - Aww, I think it would pretty on you too! But it definitely is a bold color.

I used to put on makeup in the car when I was in school and had to travel to drop my kids off to my mom's place and then drive back to school. It didn't give me enough time to put on makeup at home so I would do it in the car. But at the time, I wasn't into wearing much so it made it easier. That is a scary sight to see someone doing that now. I personally can't even talk on the phone when I'm driving anymore.

Jane - Actually no wipes. I was fortunate enough to keep the shadows on my brush and on my lid. But I did have to wait until the ride was smooth every other minute before I attempted to apply anything. Took me a good stretch of the trip to finish it up.

but to put on makeup and drive at the same time, forget it.
