So this weekend I'm testing out a camera before I decide to buy it. It's the Canon PowerShot SD850 IS. Retail price: $249.99 - $349.99. I want to test it out with my FOTDs and pictures to see if it's better than my current camera (Casio Exilim EX-S770).
I am going to get a good deal on it so that's why I want to make sure it's something for me before I actually put the money out for it.

So far it's been ok. I'm still working through the settings. Although it seems like a lot more work trying to figure out what to use when I'm taking different types of pictures. I guess once I figure it out it should be easier.
When in automatic mode it doesn't do what I want it to do. When in manual mode, I am taking picture after picture trying to get it right. I'm not a camera expert, but man that is a lot of work!
I have another day to play with it so I guess I'll just try to figure it out. With my current camera, even though the pictures do not come out the best, it's still good enough for me and it's easy to use.
Maybe I'll change my mind about this Canon camera but again we'll see.

i love my canon sd750. :) i agree, the auto setting doesn't really do what i want it to do. it does get easy once you figure out which settings to use for which type of pictures, but it took me a good amount of experimenting to figure it out. but it's worth it once you figure it out because the pictures come out awesome! :) good luck on your new camera hunt. :)
oooh, that camera you have is also an option for myself. So do you like it? The one thing I'm not liking about my current camera (casio) is how the flash washes me out when I'm doing my FOTDs. Or the fact that when other people use my camera to take pictures, they either suck or don't know how to use a camera. LOL.
With this Canon one, I noticed that when taking swatch pictures, I have to mess with the settings big time. HAHA! I don't like that. I want it plain and simple. But I guess it does take getting used to.
Again, we'll see...
i have this camera! if you want, you can check out my post on the exact settings i use here. that's if you didn't exchange it already :)
