I know I am only almost 4 months preggers, but I was laying in bed thinking about what I'm going to need for this new baby.
Then all these thoughts started pouring through my head. Like memories of what it was like when my boys were babies, what I did with them as infants, what type of items were my "must haves".
Then my mind wandered and got me wondering if my baby is going to be a girl or boy. Then I started thinking about names. I already have a girl name picked out, but if I have another boy, I have some boy names, but nothing finalized quite yet for a boy name.
Then I started thinking about a baby shower.
See what happens when your husband is out of state on a business trip and your kids are at school and you have no job. You're stuck at home to do a LOT of thinking. LOL.
So anyways, I just realized that I have nothing that has to do with babies. It's like I'm starting all over again. I mean some items, I know I'm going to need soon are: a crib, stroller, carseat, OMG diapers!!!!!
One of the items I had when the boys were babies was a swing. It was my lifesaver! All you moms out there, what items did you have that were your must have or lifesaver? Share with me! It's been soooo long for me. HAHA.
So then I started thinking of the baby shower. A few of you have mentioned to me a "beauty blogger baby shower" and some of you have even told me you'd come to a baby shower if I had one. By a show of hands, (ok by a show of comments), how many of you would indeed come if I had a baby shower? It's never too early to start planning you know.
I'd like to get a rough count of how many of you would like to celebrate the new life that I'm bringing into this world, as scary as it is! Oh yeah, since I'm due in May, it would more than likely be some time at the end of March to the middle of April and more than likely be at my house in Diamond Bar (which I know is pretty far from those in the Valley).
To tell you the truth, the more that I think about it, the more excited I'm getting about this new baby. At my next OB appointment, I'm going to ask how soon I can find out the gender. I'm also going to look into getting a 4D ultrasound done. I think that would be so cool. Unfortunately, insurance doesn't cover it as it is an elective procedure. But I was doing some research and there are some places that offer 4d ultrasound packages starting at $100.
I've also noticed that I subconsciously put my hand on my baby bump. I know it's not much that's there right now, but I tend to find myself doing that a lot now! Wow, can you tell I'm excited? HAHA, cuz I am.

honestly, i dunno about a beauty blogger baby shower, but i'd definitely come to a baby shower should u throw one =)
btw, it's not that i don't wanna meet the other lovelies, it's just wouldn't it be kinda small? well, unless u want a small gathering, then cool. =)
swings definitely are lifesavers! i have this one: http://www.toysrus.com/product/index.jsp?productId=2674706
i like it bc it swings in two directions so when my baby starts crying, i turn her the other way and she goes back to sleep. lol.
i don't like the eddie bauer (sp?) stroller travel systems because the carseat was really bulky and the seat belt was hard to put together. i liked the stroller for the big basket, so we just ended up using a graco carseat even though it didn't match lol.
i hope everything goes well for you and your next appointment :)
i'm in nyc, but hey i would so go to your baby shower, if it was on the east coast. but for now you will have to accept my virtual baby shower present in the meantime.
hmm...i really recommend the avent tempo bottles with the disposable liners they cost a little more since you have to buy the liners on top of the bottle but this way you don't have to worry about the cancer inducing bpa that's in a lot of plastic baby bottles.
i think these are relatively new so you may not have used these with your other kids but pampers swaddlers are awesome! they're so soft and they have this umbilical cord notch for your super new born baby.
something just for you and not the baby that's a must have for me at least...is the nivea body firming lotion with q10. about two weeks after i gave birth my stomach looked like a shar pei (i know so gross) but after a few days of use it really tightens up the skin
hope this helps :)
as long as your thinking good thoughts and not thinking too much about bad thoughts.
what are the names you're thinking bout?
ohand thanks for the compliment on the new hair. that crap washed out already!!! I can see a lot of brown in my hair now. I need to go re-dye it soon.
