Collective Haul

,

I don't know what does more damage, little hauls over time or one big haul. Well either way, I hauled little things here and there over the last couple of months. I guess since they were all bought on separate occasions, I didn't think a post on one or two items would be good enough. So here's a collective haul post of the last few things I've hauled.

A maternity belly ring. I've had my navel pierced 3 times now. The first time I got it done, I was pregnant about 6 months later. I ended up taking it out when I was 5-6 months pregnant. After I had my oldest son, I got my navel pierced again. Then I got pregnant with my youngest son just 7-8 months later. I also took out the piercing during that pregnancy. After I had him, I got my navel pierced yet again! This time around I had my navel pierced for 7 years before I got pregnant this time around. I thought to myself, should I take it out again? I decided not to when I found out that they sell maternity navel rings. I finally ordered me one from PregnancyPiercings.com. My traditional navel ring was getting too small for my growing belly and the metal started to irritate me so I switched over to this one. It's plastic and they send it longer and you just cut to fit. Once I switched over to it, I feel a lot more comfortable. Granted, it does look weird with my belly button being an "outie" at the moment. I will save you from having to look at my stretched out belly button and tummy. LOL. But let's just say that I am not yet ready to let go of my piercing so this will do for now. The doctor has seen it and hasn't said anything about it to me so it looks like it doesn't interfere with my pregnancy.

There's this korean market I go to where I buy season sliced beef for when Mr. Man and I are craving korean bbq. They have little shops within the market and I stopped into the beauty one and saw these Purederm face masks. They were on sale 10 for $10. At the time I bought it, I was suffering from really dry skin. It had a lot to do with the pregnancy taking up so much water and moisture, it was leaving my skin dry especially in my face.

I tried out the Pearl Essence Mask and I immediately felt the moisture being put back into my face while the mask was on. After taking it off, my face felt soft and it looked moisturized. So thumbs up!

I have yet to try out the other ones.

When I was out on a shopping trip with Sis, Christiana, a couple of weeks ago, she was kind enough to buy me Fun & Games blush from the MAC Hello Kitty line and a vest from Charlotte Russe (not pictured). When you have my back, I have yours! Thanks, Dear!

So many of you mentioned the Gorilla Pod in the past. I found this for about $12 at Circuit City during their liquidation sale. It was in the first weeks of the liquidation so it was only 40% off (if I remember correctly). Anyways, I picked it up along with some Nintendo DS games that were also 40-50% off for the boys.

Nessa mentioned that Ohayo closed down and Cosmeland opened up at the Puente Hills Mall so I went over there to check things out. Picked up this mascara guard, still getting the hang of using it though. Along with a false eyelash applicator. Cost about 4-5 bucks each.

Also picked up a face brush at Cosmeland for $6. Love this thing. It's not harsh on the skin at all!

Shisem lashes! With everyone talking so highly of them, I went out on a mission to try and find them. Well basically, I only looked for them when I was at any random beauty supply store. I've been to quite a few and you would think that korean owned beauty shops would have them, but they didn't.

Anyways, I was driving to City of Industry/Rowland Heights area last week and I see the sign "Beauty Supply" in the shopping plaza on the corner of Golden Springs/Brea Canyon Rd off the 60 Freeway and I hopped in to check things out.

I walk in, got greeted by the very nice korean lady behind the counter and right up front were the false eyelashes. I saw Shisem, Darkness and a few other brands I forgot the names of. So I sat there for a few minutes picking and choosing. Got quite a few, about $45 worth of false eyelashes. The lashes ranged from $3-$5 each.

Anyways, you want to know the name of the place? I bet you do! The place is called .Com Beauty Supply.

Like I mentioned in my previous post, I am trying out a new skincare regimen. So far I'm pretty happy with the results. I've been using it for the last few days and my face feels a lot softer. It's the 3 step skin care program. I also got the Even Better skin tone corrector in hopes to help with the sunspots and discoloration I have going on my face. I'll do a full review in a few weeks.

Such a pretty color! From the South Beach collection "Overexposed in South Beach". I would swatch it for you, but if you recall, I got my nails done.

Nothing really tickled my fancy with the MAC Sugarsweet collection except this one shadestick. Red Velvet Shadestick. LOVE IT!

To go with my new skincare regimen, the Clinique 7Day Scrub.

So my next big haulage will be new furniture for the bedroom and baby stuff. Yay! Fun!

I love the fun&games blush! and I was eyeing the shadestick too when I went to mac today, but I thought about how often I would use it and I didn't get it :(

pregnancy piercing!?! I wish I would have known that, now I am stuck with this awful semi-hole in my belly. My friend had two kids and kept her belly ring in thru both pregnancies and she did ok. I'm just sad I had to take mine out. That is a very cool thing though!

Red velvet looks amazing! Every swatch I see looks different in some ways, but they still all look amazing!

I only hear good things about that scrub cream. I really need to try them.

Nice hauls. And that's the first time I've heard of Pregnancy Piercings. I think that is such a great idea. =)

Nice haul!!!
I wish I knew you were looking for Shisems, there's a place less than 2 minutes away from me that sells them..LOL

@sanniet - yes I did pick up a lot of lashes, but I actually am only keeping a couple of pairs, the rest I gave away or will be giving away. =P

I don't even know why I kept my navel ring, I don't even show it off anymore like I did when I was younger. lol.

@Imee - Yes! this place is literally up the street from my house, less than 2 minutes away, I'm glad I found it.

@askmewhats - I really am debating in taking it out after I have this baby. I'm starting to feel old haha. We'll see though.

@Jo - yes, that's why i'm glad i found the pregnancy piercing because I don't think I could go through another piercing. I'm not young as I used to be, lol.

@lindah lol, i was thinking the same thing, when am i going to use this? haha. but I got it anyways. I'm a sucka for pretty colors.

@Lyn Yes I wish I had known about pregnancy piercings too back then. Would've saved me from piercing my navel 3 times. lol.

I will do a full review on the scrub once I've used it enough.

@Linda - Isn't pregnancy piercings neat? They also have fancier ones with "It's a Boy", "It's a Girl" charms, but I just stuck with the basic one.

@Tammy - Yeah this place is like less than 2 minutes away from my house. I'm glad I found it. And to top it off, the lady there is really nice.

Great accumulated haul. I bought a mascara guard too but i get too lazy to use it. When I saw your Gorilla Pod I immediately thought of CC since I saw it there too. Have you used it? Hows that working? I wanted to grab one but I have nothing for the pod to attach too. Your belly piercing during pregnancy is very hard for me to picture =X hehe

@KC - I've used it and it's not bad. You do have to a little more manipulating to get to stand or grasp correctly, but it's not something I'm using a lot as of now. But I figured for $12, can't go wrong.
