Review: Bumpits

How many of you have seen the commercial for this particular product? I get intrigued when I see these types of commercials/infomercials and you can say that I am a sucka for these kinds of things.

This one in particular caught my eye. I did not order it from the toll free number they have on the commercial, I actually ordered it off of eBay.

Anyways, here's my review on this gadget that says it's supposed to be the easy and affordable way to "bump up" your hair.

what's in the box

1 Hollywood Bumpit, 2 Large Bumpits, 2 Mini Bumpits

Available in 4 different colors

How-to Instructions

Using the Hollywood Bumpit, part hair at crown and place Bumpit behind part line.

Pull hair into Bumpit for it to stay. then Spray with hairspray. (I didn't use any hairspray because I was trying out all of the Bumpits)

What it looks like with the Hollywood Bumpit. Look at that bump!

Mini Bumpits

Place 2 behind your bangs/fringe/hairline in the same manner

Pull hair down over it, secure with clip or bobby pins and spray.

Large Bumpits

Part hair at crown, place one Bumpit then part hair again behind it and place the other Bumpit

Pull hair down and spray. Not bad, if you ask me.

I have thick hair and you can still kind of see the teeth of the Bumpits. But if you work the hairspray I'm pretty sure that can be covered. Probably why it comes in different colors to match different haircolors.

Pros:
- Easy to use!
- Quick, once you get the hang of it.
- Does give your hair that extra "bump"
- Great for those that don't want to fuss with teasing your hair to get the volume.

Cons:
- Can get frustrating if you can't figure out how to work it.
- If you have thin hair, teeth will probably show through your hair.
- If you plan to spend some sexy time with a boyfriend, it can get in the way. (now what's more embarrassing than your boyfriend running his hands through your hair only to find a Bumpit in there, LOL.

Where to buy and Price: www.bumpits.com According to the website and the commercial, it is $19.99 plus S&H then for the *FREE* Hollywood Bumpit, just pay additional S&H. So that's 19.99 + 6.95 + 7.95 = $34.89 + tax (for CA and NY).

When I saw that price above, I felt it wasn't worth it for me to try it out so I scanned eBay and found it for $24.95 and I thought to myself, much better! So yes, I purchased it from eBay.

My overall opinion: I like it, it was pretty simple to use the first time around. I can definitely see myself using it on special occasions and even just on a regular day.

I have been meaning to get this. I first saw it off of KT's blog and threw it in the back of my mind as something to get. Your hair looks good! I was afraid the Hollywood bumpit was too big, but it looks good in your hair. Yay. I'll probably scour ebay as well.
