I get email notifications when someone new follows me on Twitter. I usually check it out to see if it's spam or not. Then I get a notification that "wowtwitter" is following me. I check it out and then read up on it and think to myself, haha, that's pretty cool.
So basically, it's Twitter for your WoW toons. For those that want to keep their WoW life separate from their real life.
Why use wowTwitter?
Some of us like to keep our personal lives outside and our in-game lives inside, so instead of updating from a twitter account, where EVERYONE can see what you are doing, you can stay connected as in-game characters.
Why would you want to tweet from your character?
* Easily update friends accross different servers
* See what the best guilds are up to
* Got ganked? Tweet to your server and get some help!
And since it's in beta, they have a contest going on to help with registration. Check it out!
Beta Contest
As part of our testing and launch phase we are running a contest from now until July 1, 2009 for $100 cash! The user with the most validated characters and tweets at the end of the contest wins. Tell your friends and guild members so you can interact with more characters.
Point Values:
* 10 points per verified character
* 1 point per tweet
So I already signed up with my WoW toon. Follow Jrose on WoWtwitter. I'm still figuring things out over there, like how to post to the server channel, how to follow, etc.
And since we're on the subject of WoW, get your battle bot (in game pet) from the Mountain Dew website. It's a pretty cool pet and it'll help with your pet achievements.

Pick your side!

So click on the image above to sign up to win cool prizes and redeem your Battle Bot pet. I already did, of course!
