This is what is included in the box.
I've been meaning to type up a review on this bad boy. I personally purchased mine 2 months ago and finally got around to actually write up the review. I have used it maybe about 4-5 times since I've purchased it. I don't go out much anymore and when I did, I used this baby to do up my hair nice. Anyways, on to my review...

I was at the Brea Mall one day to actually pick up the MAC Volcanic Ash Thermal mask when I got pulled to one of those kiosks in the middle. I was actually pulled by the guy at the Micabella kiosk and this boy did not quit. Kept telling me how gorgeous and beautiful I am, uhhh trying too hard sir? Anyways, after telling him that my makeup collection didn't need anymore added to it, he finally let me be on my way.
BUTTTT then the lady at the next kiosk suckered me into hearing her sales pitch. Although this time I was very interested since she was trying to sell me a flat iron. When I was at IMATS earlier in June, I was so tempted in getting a new flat iron, but my budget didn't allow me at the time.
Anyways, she sat me down in the chair and told me to take my hair out of it's messy ponytail/bun. I did and I pretty much surprised her with how much hair I have and how thick it was and on top of that how kinked and fluffy it was since it was in a bun.
She ran the flat iron through quite a bit of my hair and from that point I was sold on how fast it took my wavy/fluffy hair to smooth, straight and soft.
So yes, well as you can tell, I ended up buying it that day and I must say it was a very good investment. And it helps that they had it in RED!
Before I continue on, let me show you some pictures...

the Before pic - this is pretty much what my hair looks like when I take it out of it's ponytail/bun.

comparison pic of the ends of my hair. Left side: straightened with HerStyler and Right side: unstraightened

All straightened! (excuse the makeupless face)
Ok now that I've pretty much praised this item, you wanna know where you can get one and for how much right?
Where can you get it? $165 on HerStyler.com pretty pricey huh?
You can find it on the web for $49.99 - $129.99 on places such as eBay - HerStyler Colorful Seasons 5 Flat Iron
Or you can get it from Lisa (the lady who sold it to me) from the Brea Mall for $90 + tax. After seeing prices on eBay I felt like I paid too much, but then if you think about it, Lisa did say that with the receipt I can go back there anytime to get my product replaced if something should happen to it. As opposed to having to send it out to the manufacturer for the manufacturer's warranty. So that justifies it. =)
Her kiosk is located next to the Micabella kiosk which is on the lower level of the Brea Mall on the Nordstroms wing in front of the Bebe Sport store.
J.Rose's Thoughts: Prior to this flat iron, I was using a Remington that I probably bought from Target or Kmart for probably $20 and compared to this flat iron, it would take me 3-4 passes on each section to get my hair straightened. Also my old flat iron wasn't shaped to curl.
Curling with this flat iron is actually pretty easy once you get the hang of how to do it. It honestly took me awhile to figure it out. LOL. I used it to curl my hair the night I hung out with L and Wuz and the rest of the blogger babes. I don't know if you can see how curly it is in the pictures.

I also used it again to straighten my hair and give it a little curly wave at the end of my hair for my birthday celebration. Again, I don't know if you can see it in the pictures.

Prior to typing up this review, I straightened my hair and it took me half the time that I would normally take using my old flat iron. I'm going to estimate that I spent about 20 minutes on my thick coarse hair. That's pretty quick if you ask me. Well at least on my hair!
I like how it makes my hair shiny and soft and I didn't have to use any hair product.
Am I happy with my purchase? Most definitely!

You have gorgeous hair whether it's straight or curly! :) But I did like you curls at the dinner! Now I know the secret! LOL!
I always try not to make eye contact with kiosk peeps, unless I WANT to look at their stuff. They try just way to hard to push shit on you! LOL! But it sounds like you walked away with a great investment this time! :)
Good straighteners last a really long time :) I'm sure this one will last you for a WHILE! ^_^ I don't own a straightener though.. but I do own a curling iron and I've had it for at least 2-3 years now :D
I have one too. Only I spent 200 on mine. It's the best product ever. It replaced my hair dryer and curling iron. I never found a straightener that worked on me, so I used to use my curling iron. It's just so nice to get my hair done all at once, and it takes me about 20 minutes as well. My hair is longer than my breast.
