Mr. Man has never asked me to be his girlfriend. We just sort of fell into the relationship. Before we got married, we celebrated January 27th as our anniversary. It's the anniversary of the day we met.....
ONLINE
Yup, Mr. Man and I met online. It was that fated email that brought us together. Imagine had I deleted that email even before I read it.... I don't even want to think about it.
A few days after that email, he took that 3 hour drive to come and see me and it was basically almost instant attraction. I mean by the time it was Valentine's Day we were already saying "I Love You". By March of that same very year, I packed up a U-Haul and my 3 month old baby and I moved in with him and here we are today. Married with 3 kids.
Anyways, today marks a decade that we have been together. We met and got together at a very young age, him being 21 and myself at 19. Do we regret committing ourselves to a relationship at a very young age? Not at all. The reason I'm thankful for what I have now and do not regret it is because I see so many people, whether it be friends, acquaintances or even strangers still struggling to find the right person and settle down and have a family.
We watched each other grow up and learned so much about life and each other through the roller coaster ride of our relationship. As with any relationship, there are ups and downs, good and bad times and because of all of that, it made us who we are today. Stronger and better and that much more in love with each other.
But don't get me wrong, he still gets on my nerves almost on a daily basis as I'm sure I annoy the crap out of him, but we can do a complete 180 and be all mushy and lovey dovey =).
So to celebrate a decade, we are taking the boys with us to have dinner at Joe's Crab Shack. For some of you that may know, Mr. Man doesn't eat seafood so him taking me there may come off as a surprise. Fortunately, he checked their menu and they serve burgers and steaks. LOL.
I told him I wanted the boys with us to celebrate because A) my oldest loves to try new foods and he's been wanting to eat crab legs and B) our kids are a big part of who we are. They definitely tested our relationship time and again and because of them we managed to work so many things out all the while learning any important lessons and values of the married family life.
So to my hunniebuns, here's to 10 years and many many many more to come. I Love You, Hun!
You may say "AWWWWWWWWWWW, How Sweet" now. =P

this picture was taken in April 2000. this was our very first picture we had taken together.
