My previous phone the Samsung Blackjack II finally took a nosedive... I kept telling myself, I needed a new phone and what better phone than the iPhone.
Ha, looking back I was even contemplating an iPhone since June 2009. To iPhone or not to iPhone.
Anyways, I was planning on getting the phone on my first paycheck from work, but Mr. Man was kind enough to let me get it before. So lo and behold, J.Rose now has her hands on one of these babies.
I got the 16gb 3GS version in black and ended up getting a case to go with it. Guess what color? LOL... do you even have to guess?!

The first night I got it, Mr. Man wanted to check it out and play around with it. So I let him. At that time it was pretty late so I ended up falling asleep. The next morning when I went to check on my phone, I noticed the background changed to the rose you see in the picture at the beginning of this post. I asked him why he put that there.
He said "Duh, a rose for J.Rose" HAHA I didn't think about that, lol.
When people told me how much they "love" their iPhone or how helpful it would be, they weren't kidding! Since day 1 I have been searching new apps to put on it.
So far, the most useful apps I've installed...
Facebook - First app I DL'd on my way home from the AT&T store, LOL.
Echofon - to keep up with my twitter friends and easy way to keep you all up to date with my tweets!
WoW Armory - Can't be a WoW addict and have an iPhone and not get this app! I love that I can accept calendar invites. Only thing I wish I could do is check bank logs. With me being the guild bank officer, I would love to be able to check the logs while I'm at work.
AIM - I'm able to IM at work so this app doesn't get used much while I'm at work, but when I'm out and about, it comes in handy. Especially if I have to wait somewhere. Gives me something to do.. that is if anyone is online I can chat with. LOL.
Pandora and iHeart radio - OMG, I love iHeart! I bought me one of those iHome deals (well except the one I picked is actually a Logitech one). You know the one where you can dock your iPhone to speakers that has an alarm clock. Anyways, the radio stations come in so clear that we chucked the old alarm clock radio we were using to listen to KFI... (we listen to Coast to Coast at night). And for when the radio stations aren't playing what I want to hear, I'll throw on some Pandora!
Accounts and online banking - help to figure out how much I'm spending and to make sure I got funds in the account to make that big MAC purchase =P
Other apps I found very useful when needed. NBA League Pass Lite (the free one) to check up on scores and to remind me of games. YP Mobile (Yellow Pages) so I don't waste $1.50 on 411. Paypal, haven't used it much yet, but I figured I have a paypal account might as well download it.
I also downloaded the UStream app so I can broadcast live from my iPhone. I used it like a couple of times to show Mr. Man my workplace. It's pretty cool!
Those are some apps I found very useful. Are there any other apps you would recommend? I'm open to anything!
Accessories I've already bought: a case, a car charger, the speakers dock and a dock that connects to my computer. Any recommendations on accessories?
One thing I absolutely love is the iPod! I have never owned an iPod. OMG, I love it! Now I need an armband so that I can listen to my music library while I'm cleaning the house or going out for a jog.
Only downside is the battery life. Gotta charge it every night. I even bought a car charger for those times when I go out at night and need to charge it up.
But other than that, I don't know why I haven't gotten one earlier! This thing is exactly what I needed!
How much has the iPhone changed your life?
